Curly Leaf Pondweed Treatment Status as of 05.04.2011.
Scott reports everything is in place; Lakes Restoration is ready to go all we need is the weather to cooperate. The water temperature has to be between 50-6o degrees and the plants have to be actively growing, neither one of these events have happened yet. The problem is that the DNR permits to treat CLP expire on May 31, 2011. No treatment is allowed after that date for fear that the chemicals used to treat the CLP could have an effect on native plants. If this happens it could present a problem.

Curly Leaf Pondweed treatment was done on May 19, 2011 by Lakes Restoration. This year we treated approximately 48 acres at a cost of $31,536.00.
